Letter from Messrs Bramley and Gainsford to Sir Edw. Smythe re £257 5a 3½d being borrowed 5 years before on mortgage of the charity lands at N. Kelsey, Lincs in order to meet several Auckholme drainage rates onthese lands. Mr Hodgkinson who advanced the money has recently called it in so they have obtained it from Miss Sayles and repaid it to Mr H. who transferred the mortgage to her. Sir E.'s signature is wanted on the transfer. They ask him to seal the enclosed deed. Originally enclosed in 1514/163.
