Letter from John Pateshall to Roberts "It is a long journey to Newport, too long for me to undertake, therefore I must come into the same terms as other Creditors do, and if you will please to settle it for me, I will satisfy you for your trouble. I have Bond for £600, and thirteen years Interest at £4.10s. pr Cent is £351, and £106 I paid to Christopher Maund of Bockleton for Mr Baldwyn, which Mr Childe is acquainted with it and allowed me the Interest of it ever since I paid it, It was refered to Mr Sherriff to settle an Account between Mr Baldwyn and myself when there appeared to be due to Mr Baldwyn £497. 2s 1d which sum is to be deducted out of the Principal and Interest of the Bond"

708 5 March 1796 Copy will of John Pateshall of Cleobury Mortimer gentleman, bequeathing to William Childe esq of Kinlet all interest on £600 principal due by bond of Charles Baldwin up to the day of the testator's death. When the £600 is paid, he gives 10 gns of it to Mr John Wheeler of Newnham, 10 gns to Sarah wife of Edward Goode of Aston and the residue, with other goods and chattels, to his brother Thomas Pateshall, sole executor
