A Mr Bigland has forwarded a telegram from a business connection in America asking whether Leverhulme would consider buying Southern Cotton Oil Company; details of the Company are enclosed. Cooper and McDowell intend to reply, 'it is of no interest to us', do you agree? May 21 1924
